Chief Logan State Park is one of the most visited parks in the
state of West Virginia. It is 3,300 acre park with a 25-site campground,
restaurant, outdoor amphitheater, and wildlife center. The recreation
enthusiast can enjoy the miles of hiking trails, horse back riding, a swimming
pool with water slide, tennis and miniature golf. Picnic shelters and
playgrounds are found throughout the park.
Hatfield-McCoy Trail is a 350 mile trail opened to atvs,
motorcycles, mountain bikes, horses and hikers. Trails range from fun to
exciting to extreme. Permits are required and sold in denominations of 1 day, 7

Earl Ray Tomblin Convention Center is located on the property of
Chief Logan State Park. At the present time it is accessible via Route 119,
also known as Corridor G, between Chapmanville and Logan on Convention Center
Drive. This is a 20,000 square foot facility with the capacity to host several
hundred people at one time or smaller groups. It includes a ballroom,
restaurant, bar, and complete banquet facility. For more information please

Chief John Logan Statue is located in Chief Logan State Park. The
statue was dedicated to the people on Logan County on July 4, 1998. Seamus
O’Mahoney sculpted the 6 foot white marble statue. The model was John Curry and
the architect was Larry D. Justice.
The Coalfield Jamboree is the old Logan Theater renovated. What
once was one of West
Virginia’s finest theaters was renovated and rechristened the
Coalfield Jamboree on
December 13, 1997. Many popular country stars, such as Kitty
Wells, Little Jimmy
Dickens, George Jones, Exile, Mark Wills, Joe Diffie and more have
graced the stage of the
Coaffield Jamboree. It has also seen wonderful gospel groups such
as the Inspirations,

The Hatfield Cemetery is located on Route 44 in Sarah Ann. It is
the burial place of
The Doughboy Monument is located on Midelburg Island. He is 7 foot
tall bronze statue that sits atop a 12 foot base of gray granite. He is a
reminder of the dept we owe to those brave men and women that have gone to war
to preserve the American way of life. At first the statue was to honor those
who died in battle but after deliberation grew to acknowledge all those that
served.
