Moonshine Hill has inclines as steep as 70 degrees and
is
over 480 feet long from start to finish. Moonshine Hill has
broken five national records in a row for the number of riders
participating in regular hillclimbing races. The current record of
251 riders was set at Moonshine Hill on June 15, 2002. In
hillclimbing, motorcycles and ATV's compete against a clock with
the winners being those who climb the hill in the least amount of
time. The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) sanctions this
hillclimb championship race and all riders are required to be in
compliance with AMA regulations.
Moonshine Hill is located on WV Route 65,
approximately 1 ½
miles north of the business district of Delbarton, WV. Limited
seating is available, so be sure to bring your lawn chairs in
order to sit back and enjoy several hours of family fun.
Concessions and souvenirs will be available for purchase.
Admission is $10.00 for spectators ages 13 and older. Children 12
years of age and under are admitted free.
