National Championship Race comes to West Virginia

     The Moonshine Hillclimb Club, in conjunction with the
Delbarton Kiwanis Club and the Town of Delbarton, WV is hosting
the 2002 American Motorcyclist Association's National Amateur
Championship Hillclimb Race on August 10th and 11th with racing
starting at
8:00 A.M.  Four hundred riders from 23 states have
preregistered to participate in the race.

Riders will arrive at Moonshine Hill on August 9th to
complete the sign-in for the championship race, view and walk the
hill, receive the riding order of the 17 different classes being
run and attend a mandatory rider's meeting.  On Saturday and
Sunday, racing will start at
8:00 AM with racing expected to last
8 to 10 hours each day.  The championship trophies will be handed
out at the conclusion of the races on Sunday.  Trophies will be
given to the top 10 finishers in each of the 17 classes plus top
time trophies for the fastest motorcycle and ATV.
